Bloomsday 2026
Join us at Rose City Book Pub for a Bloomsday Celebration on June 16, 2026.
Bloomsday is celebrated in Ireland every June 16th to honor the literary legacy of James Joyce. The name “Bloomsday” comes from one of the key characters in Joyce’s novel Ulysses, named Leopold Bloom, who has an eventful day in Dublin on June 16th, 1904. The day has become an annual celebration of Irish literature in general, and the strength of Irish storytelling in many forms.
